These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern registration for and participation in programmes run by STEAMhives Innovation Hub ("STEAMhives", "we", "us", "our"), including the Virtual Coding & Robotics Bootcamp and the Physical Summer Holiday Programme (together, the "Programmes"). By registering a learner for a Programme, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and the learner.
1. Eligibility
The Programmes are designed for learners aged 7 to 16. A parent, guardian, or partner school must complete registration on the learner's behalf; learners do not register themselves.
2. Registration and Payment
Registration is confirmed once payment is received in full through our designated checkout provider. Prices, included materials, and class schedules are as described on our website at the time of registration and may change for future cohorts. Discount codes and early bird pricing are valid only for the period stated when the code was issued and cannot be applied retroactively to a completed payment.
3. Refunds and Cancellations
Requests to cancel or transfer a registration made at least 7 days before a cohort's start date are eligible for a full refund, less any payment processing fees charged by our checkout provider. Cancellations made within 7 days of the start date, or after the cohort has begun, are not eligible for a refund but may be transferred to a future cohort at our discretion. To request a cancellation or transfer, contact us using the details on our website.
4. Code of Conduct
We expect learners, parents, and instructors to treat one another with respect. STEAMhives reserves the right to remove a learner from a Programme, without refund, if their conduct is disruptive, unsafe, or harmful to other participants or staff.
5. Programme Content and Changes
We make reasonable efforts to deliver the Programmes as described, but reserve the right to adjust schedules, instructors, or specific activities where necessary, provided the overall quality and duration of the Programme is not materially reduced.
6. Intellectual Property
Course materials, curricula, and branding provided as part of a Programme remain the property of STEAMhives Innovation Hub. Learners retain ownership of the projects they personally create during a Programme.
7. Media Consent
Unless a parent or guardian notifies us otherwise in writing, we may photograph or record Programme sessions and use images or footage of learners for STEAMhives marketing materials, including our website and social media.
8. Limitation of Liability
STEAMhives is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in a Programme. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of registration governs that registration.
10. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to us via the contact details on our homepage.
